ACTIVITIES
We send applications to the concerned Directorates and Administrative Offices for approval of our main programs namely discussions, rallies, seminars, video footage screenings, concerts and counseling activities. As usual, all the departments gave approval from the year 2014. The concerned departments, administrative offices and University Grants Commission and their mutual coordination provide approval and recommendation simultaneously. The distribution of leaflets and stickers has been approved and recommended by the administrative offices separately. Realizing the need of the programs, Police Headquarters and Range DIGs have issued directives to provide security for the programs across the country. Which we got as the only institution in Bangladesh. As usual, the respective offices of the Divisional Commissioner, District Commissioner, District Superintendent of Police have given instructions to the Upazila Executive Magistrate, Education Officer and Police Officer- in-Charge to take necessary measures. We are able to complete many programs every day because we take necessary sincere measures if we request the concerned office of the upazila for the activities within a day’s notice. Our free anti-drug leaflets and name-only stickers were shown to the concerned government officials and they kept the program going. For example, our program is running in 58 upazilas at present. In the case of online mass awareness activities, educational institutions show students through projectors. Education, health and other concerned officials provided their valuable suggestions regarding the live program. With the aim of developing our human resources, the program called Protiva Freedom is accepted by the unemployed youth and their parents with the approval and recommendation of the administrative office of the government of Bangladesh and the recommendation of the concerned government office. The parents accept the service as a reliable institution. Which is getting huge response. Our core programs once completed in an educational institution will be completed nationwide and repeated in the same institution.
Below is brief information about the future program of the institution.
By December 2024, we intend to establish a drug rehabilitation center for the drug addict students of Bangladesh. Because there is no such institution, the addicted students are learning to use new drugs by enrolling in the same drug addiction center with others. We intend to lay the foundation stone for the construction of a specialized hospital for the students of Bangladesh by 2026. We intend to start programs in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka from 1st January 2025. It will be convenient for us to take the necessary measures if international organizations discusses the matter with us and gives advice. So that the above model can be started in other countries of the world. We believe that we can start all other swing programs in the above mentioned countries on the coast of Bangladesh. If All our programs in consultation with international organizations including united nations and its affiliates bodies are intended to spread globally by December 2030 to create a silent revolution. But now till we are national organization.
A plan to make the campus drug free
Outcome of the project: Gifting a beautiful drug free campus and phased rehabilitation center for drug addicts. We believe that construction of hospital and establishment of medical college for students will be the result of this project.
Brief Plan of Action: Counseling, rallies, seminars, discussions, video footage showing, anti-drug student committee and a good statistical report in schools, colleges and universities to make the campus drug-free, to preserve for future what percentage of students are drug addicts, i.e. It will help to build a drug free campus.
Important types of action planning:
- Coordination with education related offices of Bangladesh Government.
- Coordination with educational institutions.
- Seminars, rallies, counseling, video footage screening, formation of student committees and
cultural events. - Students, teachers, education officers and Narcotics Control Directorate through special forms.
Creating statistics and national database through discussion, so that the statistics of what
percentage of people are intoxicated can be known. - Later, to keep in touch with the mentioned committee consisting of students and give the
necessary support to make the campus drug free.
How will the project benefit the target population?
This project will go a long way in creating a beautiful, flexible and safe future. Because we believe
that if 40% of the country’s students become drug free, they will have a peaceful and beautiful
future for themselves and their families
How sustainable will the project be? Explain?
We believe that the project will be sustainable, as the number of drug addicts in Bangladesh is increasing at an increasing rate. Every day, many drugs are coming from neighboring countries India and Myanmar along with Bangladesh. As the government tightens the law through law enforcement drugs are on the rise. This is the only campus based organization in Bangladesh and the organization is approved by the government education and administration offices, even the only organization in Bangladesh approved by the Government Directorate. There are many educational institutions in Bangladesh, which we will take a long time to reach. Moreover, there are new institutions. Our work has wide reputation and transparency. We are working with enthusiasm from country to country. We hope that there will be various types of health institutions from this project. I think this project will be sustainable.
The project is scalable: We think it is definitely scalable, as the institution has a wide reputation and a deep connection with the students. So, using this reputation, we have planned drug addiction center, special hospital for students and Protiva Freedom Specialized Hospital and Medical College.
Why would the project be considered innovative?
This organization is an educational institution and the first anti-drug organization in Bangladesh, through which the whole nation has the opportunity to get direct and indirect and far-reaching benefits. Through this project, there is a possibility of creating leadership among the students, because the campus has seminars, discussion meetings, quiz competitions, contests. Competitions, counseling, video footage screenings and patriotic cultural programs are conducted exclusively by us. Through which leadership is easily created and talent is developed. Through this project students are getting acquainted with people at different levels of the country. Only through this project, without creating any pressure, only in friendly relations can we create a drug-free nation and create a sense of moral values. Through this project, a beautiful statistic is created so that the list of the percentage of drug addicts in the campus can be easily database. One of the features of this project is that the cost is very low. Through this project people from different professions can easily participate in the society. Above all, through this project, a leading role can be taken in building a healthy, normal and beautiful nation. Hence the project can be considered innovative.
The project can be a source of income:
This project can be a source of both direct and indirect income. Direct: Due to the wide recognition of this institution due to anti-narcotics activities, we have already taken up the plans to set up a drug rehabilitation centre, Freedom Pratibha Specialized Hospital, Medical College and Technical Institute as the next phase of this project. We plan to provide prescriptions so that the rich get services for money and the poor get and get services for free. Indirect: Due to country-wide anti-drug activities, the country’s health sector expenditure and law- order expenditure will be reduced many times, so the economic policy of the country is paying great attention and will continue to do so. It is believed that all the people of the country will benefit from this project. Because if the country’s largest population of students can be helped to lead a drug-free life through motivation programs, the education, health and law enforcement expenses of the country will be greatly reduced. Peace will prevail everywhere in the family. Through this project various types of educational institutions and health institutions can be greatly benefited to the public. Currently in Bangladesh, about 50 thousand crores worth of different types of narcotics are bought and sold every year. A lot of money of Bangladesh is being smuggled abroad, through this project the nation can be saved from this smuggling.
Inspection Procedures and Reports:
The inspection procedure of this project is very transparent. Every economic activity we do is through vouchers. With our automated database and records, we use special forms for each step. We always do economic transactions through vouchers. Every year we plan to audit through an
audit firm.
What are the potential risks?
The risk potential of this project is very low, because we have already taken the necessary approvals from the concerned offices of Bangladesh Government. Moreover we have a flock of patriotic trained and talented workforce. We have a number of doctors and faculty peer advisors
from various medical colleges and universities. Who are always giving us strength, courage and advice. We have applied for security and monitoring at the police headquarters so that there is little risk that drug smugglers may disturb at any time and no one can question the transparency of our activities. Meanwhile, the Special Branch Inspector has been appointed by the Investigating Officer at the Police Headquarters and has started the process of providing security after completing the investigation, so it appears that there is no risk in the project at present. Even if there is a risk in the future, we think that we can control it through the team formed by the teaching staff of our university and medical college.
What will be the role of poverty alleviation project?
This project has a great role in poverty alleviation. A significant number of the total population of Bangladesh is illiterate and living below the poverty line. Due to ignorance and poverty, these people are getting addicted by buying different types of drugs at very low prices. And getting
poorer. A large part of the students have been dying of various diseases including kidney failure, brain dysfunction, so if it is possible to keep the students away from addiction through the motivation program, this project can play a big role in poverty alleviation.
Costs and benefits instead:
The cost of the project is very limited despite the wide and multifaceted benefits. Through this scheme it is possible to ensure the benefit of more people at a relatively
How many underprivileged women will benefit from this project?
Crores of underprivileged women can be benefited through this scheme. Because women are the most affected when a person becomes addicted. Because drug addicts return home and torture other female family members including wife, mother and sister and create economic pressure, women are forced to live a subhuman life due to drug addicts. As the next phase of this project, there are also plans to build a special health center for women.
What types of disabilities will the project benefit?
As disabled people are also associated with some family members and some students, if the students can be de-addiction, the disabled will also benefit like other sectors of the country.
What positive impact will this project have on the environment?
This project will have a huge positive impact on the environment. This is because smokers, especially smokers and those who smoke through vaping, are constantly excreting carbon and nicotine. So that there is a huge negative impact on the environment. Drug addicts pollute the social environment extensively. Other pollutants also cause extensive damage to the environment. As a result, if through the said project the drug addicts can be motivated and given a normal and beautiful life free from addiction, there will be a positive impact on the environment.
